Although Cuban and Puerto Rican cooking is somewhat similar to both Spanish and Mexican cuisine, it is actually a unique tasty blend of Spanish, African, Taino, and American influences. This cooking style uses seasonings and ingredients indigenous to those areas such as coriander, papaya, cacao, nispero, apio, plantains, and yampee. Locals call this cuisine "Cocina Criolla."

Sugarcanes' owners, Eric & Mary Flores, are proud to bring this unique dining experience to the community. Their desire is to expand the dining pleasure for local residents by bringing the freshest ingredients together with quick, quality service. They hope you enjoy the flavor of "Cocina Criolla" and come back often.
